AS PROMISED, THE REVISED (CORRECTED) LIST FOR SAID. Thanks for your understanding.
This list is all about words that can be used to replace the word he/she SAID in your writing.
Personally, I think this is one area that takes time and effort on figuring out exactly what it is your characters or sources (if you are quoting someone) is trying to convey. You want to show not tell your reader what he/she is feeling in the words you use.

Not to detract from a great service but there is a typo – acquiesced has no ‘n’
Thank you! LOL I seem to be batting a thousand on this list when it comes to mistakes.
As much as I LOVE lists, and am amazed by the impressive list you have created here, I will tell you that “said” should be used as often as possible. I am an editor, and frequently have to help my authors refrain from using too many synonyms for “said.” Especially in dialogue, “said” is practically invisible, and does not detract from the flow of speech. Plus, good dialogue should SHOW the reader that the speaker is belittling or responding to or pleading with someone, rather than the reader needing to be told by the author. Synonyms for said are usually viewed as distractions, and a good writer should put their focus on showing the reader things, not telling.
Still, I do love a good list!
